Police Investigating Thurs., Fri. Burglaries

Two burglaries reported in last two days

According to posts on the Limerick Township Police Department's Facebook page, the police are looking into two burglaries in as many days. 

The department posted on Thursday July 12 that a resident in the unit block (house numbers below 100) of Linfield-Trappe Road reported that someone broke in through a locked screen door. 

The perpetrator stole cash and jewelry from the home.

Friday, according to another Facebook post, cash and an antique firearm were stolen from a home in the 1100 block of South Township Line Road. In that case, a locked rear door was forced open.

Both burglaries are currently under investigation. Residents are encouraged to report anything suspicious by calling 9-1-1.

"The best defense against property crime is a concerned neighbor," police said in their Facebook post.
