Quigley Joins Property Tax Study Committee

Special select committee to look at property taxes as source of school funding

The Sanatoga Post reports that Rep. Tom Quigley (R-Montgomery) will join a committee whose intent to is look at ways to reduce school districts' reliance on property taxes for funding.

“Finding an alternative source of funding for public education has always been at the top of my priority list, so I am very pleased to serve on this committee,” said Quigley on his website

Quigley introduced a resolution to form this committee earlier this year. That resolution was passed in June 2012.
