Route 422 Crash Injures 3, Closes Westbound Lanes

The Monday crash occurred around 5:40 p.m. in the westbound lane near Sanatoga.

Three people were injured in a one-vehicle crash on Route 422 Westbound in Sanatoga Monday afternoon, stopping traffic for almost an hour as the driver was rescued from the vehicle.

According to the Pottstown Mercury, a blue four-door sedan was flipped on its roof under the Pleasantview Road overpass on Route 422 around 5:40 p.m. 

The vehicle reportedly swerved into snow, crossed two lanes of traffic, hit the guardrail and flipped.

Two passengers removed themselves from the vehicle; the driver was trapped in the car for 40 minutes. All three occupants were taken to Reading Hospital.
