Royersford Neighbors Cited for Fighting in Limerick Shopping Center

The altercation allegedly arose over a stolen license plate and a photo.

Two Royersford men were cited for fighting at the Giant Shopping Center on Ridge Pike in Limerick, allegedly over a license plate, during which both suffered minor injuries, according to Limerick Township Police.

Joseph Davis, 42, and Daniel Higgins, 45, who live next door to each other on Sixth Avenue in Royersford, began arguing in the parking lot on Monday evening, police said.

According to Higgins, his wife’s license plate was stolen and he took a photo of his Davis’s car.

At Giant, Davis confronted Higgins about why he took the picture, and they began a physical confrontation, though neither can remember who initiated it, police said.

According to police, Davis thought he broke his pinky at the scene, but went to the hospital on his own and found it to be dislocated.
