Safety Issues At Main Street And Ferndale Lane: Limerick Resident Says
A resident asked the Limerick supervisors Tuesday to address speeding and other issues at the intersection of Main Street and Ferndale Lane.

LIMERICK, PA — A Limerick Township resident alerted the township supervisors Tuesday night of traffic safety issues at the intersection of Main Street and Ferndale Lane in the Linfield section of the township.
Anthony Frisco said the was a recent traffic death in front of his home and several other accidents.
“This is not Roosevelt Boulevard,” he said, of a busy highway in Philadelphia. “This is Limerick Township.”

Frisco asked the supervisors to consider putting in traffic safety controls.
“The corner is dangerous,” he said. “There are no speed signs.”

He also noted that PennDOT is putting a culvert in the area.
Supervisor Linda Irwin said that there were five accidents reported in the last five years there.
The supervisors said they would review the request.
