Spring City, East Coventry Get $450,000 For Bridge, Walkability Projects

The state's major investment in the Spring City area will improve connectivity while also rehabilitating an important bridge.

SPRING CITY, PA — Spring City and East Coventry have received nearly half a million in investments from the state to improve roadways and bridges in the area.

The $450,000 grant includes $350,000 to rehabilitate Ellis Woods Road Bridge in East Coventry and $100,000 to improve a pair of crosswalks on Main Street in Spring City.

It's part of a larger mass investment through the Commonwealth Financing Authority's Multimodal Transportation Fund, which has seen several similar projects in Montgomery and Chester counties receive transportation-related grants.
