ROYERSFORD, PA — Spring-Ford Area High School's new principal is Dr. Robert Colyer. The Spring-Ford Area School District Board of School Directors approved Colyer as the new Spring-Ford Area High School principal on July 20. He replaces Dr. Patrick Nugent, who announced his retirement effective August 7.

"I am honored to serve the high school staff, students and community in the new role of High School Principal. I am very proud of what Spring-Ford offers and the growth that we have achieved," Colyer said.

"House principals" are part of an educational model that enables staff and administration to form relationships with students as they pass from grade to grade. The house system aims to create a supportive environment and build communication. Colyer served the class of 2022 since they were freshmen.

"I am eager to continue working with a great teaching staff, support staff, students and community to continue the legacy that Dr. Nugent built over the past two decades," said Colyer.
