Summer Fun at Shamrock Camps
Limerick Parks & Recreation holds 5th annual summer camp
Patch visited Camp Shamrock and Shamrock Adventures today to check out the camps' Quarter Carnival Day.
Kids from kindergarten through eighth grade age were running around, throwing balls into cups, tossing beanbags, and collecting tickets to win prizes.
Sand art was also extremely popular, as were face-painting and temporary tattoos.

Each camper paid a quarter to play the games, collected their tickets, and headed to the prize table.
Parks and Recreation superintendent Angela Russell said there were about 130 campers there today.

Russell wants to get the word out about Limerick Parks and Recreation and all the great programs they offer.
Russell said, "We had people who were registering for camp, who said, 'we didn't even know you had summer camp!'"
Camp continues for three more weeks. Activites include field trips, movie and pizza days, and lots of fun activities for all ages.
