SunnyBrook Ballroom Transforms Into Winter Drive-In Movie Stop
Drive-in holiday movies are happening every weekend until Christmas on the grounds of SunnyBrook Ballroom in Lower Pottsgrove Twp.

LOWER POTTSGROVE TOWNSHIP, PA — The historic SunnyBrook Ballroom in Lower Pottsgrove Township has repurposed its grounds for holiday drive-in movies during the month of December.
The SunnyBrook Ballroom will host the holiday drive-in movies every Friday through Sunday until Christmas, with an extra holiday classic film on Christmas Eve.
Like many businesses, the SunnyBrook Ballroom said it has been thinking of ways to bring friends and family together for the holidays while still adhering to current COVID-19 guidelines.

This created the perfect opportunity for the large venue to host more fan-favorite drive-ins. Their summer series of drive-in films became a huge success, so they decided to bring back that cheerful sense of community with their first-ever Winter Wonderland Drive-in.
A limited number of tickets will be sold for each movie, said SunnyBrook president Chuck Gulati.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. and the movies start at 7 p.m. The grounds offer holiday sights and refreshments beforehand.
The new Winter Wonderland Village at SunnyBrook will feature food and beverages, with movie -theater popcorn and a holiday-inspired Christmas burger with a fresh selection of water, soda, hot cocoa, and holiday cocktails.
Food orders will use a mobile app, with car-side delivery by golf cart for all food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Holiday cocktails, wine, and other items must be pick up inside the main event entrance, right next to the village, and masks must be worn to enter.
The Village will feature festive, picture-perfect photo opportunities with multiple warm and inviting firepits where to stay toasty, remain socially distanced and spend a night out with good friends and family.
The movies will be shown on the 40-foot drive-in movie screen. The screen will be set up in the large front parking lot where the guests can watch and hear the films from their vehicles.
Sound will be broadcasted via a low-frequency FM transmitter to the cars.

The SunnyBrook Ballroom is one of the few remaining dance halls of the pre-World War II era still in existence. It began as a swimming club in 1926, where local socialites spent their summer days.
In 1931, after the depression, the ballroom was constructed rising to prominence as one of the country’s greatest dance floors during the big band era.
