The Latest on Lebow

The furniture store in Royersford has closed its doors for the week, but will return for a final sale.

Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story noted that Lebow Furniture would close after March 17. In fact, the store will remain open to customers on weekends until the staff deems it necessary to close. We apologize for the error and any confusion it may have caused.

The store front is dark. The doors are locked. But Lebow Furniture isn't quite gone just yet.

The popular furniture store, which has become an icon of the Main Street landscape in Royersford, has been in operation for 63 years.

The store will reopen on Friday, March 15 for a three-day sale to liquidate its items, "slashing prices" as the sign hanging on the front door states.

According to the Lebow website, the store will put all items on sale, at discounts up to 80 percent off. Cash and credit will be accepted during the three-day sale.

After this weekend, the store will only be open on weekends to customers, Friday, Saturday and Sundays, until the store deems it necessary to close.
