Tire Recycling, Yard Sales Happening This Weekend

The Music Man, historical tours are also on tap.

Parents of students at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta are holding a lemonade stand and bake sale Saturday from 1-3 p.m. to raise money for a 7-year-old recently diagnosed with Leukemia.

Two local yard sales will be held on Saturday on Cemetery Road in Schwenksville and Aubrey Road in Limerick. For more on yardsales in the area, click here.

The Methacton Community Theater’s production of The Music Man will be held at this weekend at the Perkiomen Valley Middle School East, located on Kagey Road in Collegeville.

On Saturday, Montgomery County will host a residential tire collection event at Methacton High School between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., where residents can dispose of tires for free. Four tires are permitted per person, no businesses are permitted to participate. Rims will be accepted, but off-road tires are not.

On Sunday, To Love a Canine Rescue will hold a meet and greet at the Perkiomen Valley Pet Eatery from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Click here for more information.

On the second and fourth Sundays of each month, residents are invited to visit two historical sites in Trappe— the Henry Muhlenberg House and the Dewees Museum, both on Main Street.  Guided tours will run from 1:30-4 p.m.
