Trust Your Hair With the Hands That Have 33 Years of Experience

She's been doing perms, cuts and colors for going on 33 years now. I think she's considered about as expert as you can get.

Tanya Plotts, of Limerick, owns and operates Riverside Salon. Tucked into the shopping center just behind Burger King, right over the river into Spring City, the salon has been at its current location for five years.

Previously, Plotts had ran a larger salon for 21 years in the same development. She left her role for two years, but returned in the smaller spot for the last five. The old location offered nine tanning salons and six stylists, but these days, Plotts is happy with her smaller "only hair" salon.

"She's a really great person," said her client, who declined to give her name. "She does my mother's hair, and she is excellent."

When asked what she enjoys most in her 33 years, Plotts said she doesn't have a favorite service.

"I do it all," she said.

She noted that a solid stream of "regulars" keeps her going strong.
