Woman Died In Limerick Residential Fire

State police fire marshal and Limerick police are investigating the cause of a Dec. 13 fatal fire.

LIMERICK, PA —A 32-year-old mother of five was fatally injured in a farmhouse fire in the 400 block of Swamp Road, Limerick Township, officials said.

Amanda Lynn Cogorno was pronounced dead at 12:26 p.m. Dec. 13 at the scene, according to Montgomery County coroner’s officials.

Shaun Semmeles, director of Limerick Township emergency services, said the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Cogorno had returned from work at a local convenience store early and was asleep in a third-floor bedroom when the fire broke out, officials said.

She loved camping, going to the beach and road trips, being with her friends and family and always had a smile on her face, no matter the situation, according to her obituary.
