Lehigh Valley Musicians to Perform at Listen Live Music

Cristabelle Braden, a graduate of Southern Lehigh High School, has released her second album, with the help from a number of other young musicians.

Saturday, May 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Listen Live Music at the Macungie Institute, 510 E. Main St., Macungie, is an event that will celebrate the release of Southern Lehigh graduate Cristabelle Braden’s second album, “I am Yours.” The event is open to the public.

According to a press release, "Cristabelle, age 20, sustained a traumatic brain injury as a teen and her road of recovery has fueled a significant awakening that is meant to be shared. She started writing music after the injury and can’t stop."

The production of "I Am Yours" was a group effort featuring the talents of a number of other young local musicians, according to the release.

Braden's studio musicians include Jeff Yorgey, Salisbury High School ‘09, on electric guitar; Matthew Ramage, Souderton Area High School ‘10, on bass and keyboard; Bailey Zepp of Barto on violin, and some parts of the album were recorded in the studio by Matthew Stengel, Southern Lehigh ‘09.

"Cristabelle moved to the Lehigh Valley to help with her recovery from the traumatic brain injury and credits Southern Lehigh High School with preparing her for college, something that she didn’t think was possible after her injury," the release said.
