Baby Chicks Light Up Lens Friends
The Do-It-Yourself photography studio in Huntingdon Valley is hosting sessions with live baby chicks in the month of March.
Throughout the year Lens Friends hosts a variety of events to help attract customers to its Do-It-Yourself photography studio in Huntingdon Valley.
It hosts birthday parties, regular photography sessions, and it even had Golden Retriever puppies for the kids to play and pose with. One of their best promotions was a session with live baby chicks, and now they’re back for a second time around.
Every weekend throughout the month of March parents and children can come into Lens Friends and set up different backdrops to take pictures with the small, fluffy baby chicks. The baby chicks come from a farm in Warrington and a new batch arrives every Friday at Lens Friends.

“You have to (get new ones),” Lens Friends co-owner Kara Raudenbush said. “We get new chicks every weekend. They turn into teenagers in seven days. They’re just not sweet and fuzzy and cute after seven days. Their feet get really big, their necks get really long, its ridiculous.”
People have been extremely receptive to the animals and Raudenbush is already seeing a spike in sessions from the previous year.

“Last year we photographed just over 100 people with the chicks. This year we’re already over 200,” Raudenbush said.
The baby chick promotion will run this weekend and the following weekend in March.
