What Communities Does Your District Cover? Senate District 12 includes the Montgomery
County townships of Franconia, Hatfield, Horsham, Lower Gwynedd, Lower Moreland,
Montgomery, Plymouth, Salford, Upper Dublin, Upper Moreland, Whitpain, and Worcester and
the boroughs of Ambler, Bryn Athyn, Hatboro, Hatfield, Lansdale, Souderton, and the

Party Affiliation (If Applicable): Republican
Family: I am a bachelor with no children of my own, but I did help raise a young woman who is
like a daughter to me. I have my sister, brother-in-law, and stepmother nearby and two nieces,
two great-nieces, and a great-nephew.
Education: Frankford High School, Philadelphia. Saint Joseph’s University, B.A. in
International Relations, Minor in Economics. Drexel University, additional courses in
Quantitative Analysis and Management.
Occupation: For the past 24 years I have worked for a small money management company and
hedge fund, currently as Senior Futures Trader. Since 1999 I have volunteered on the Franconia
Sewer Authority Board, as Chairman since 2007. I am also a Judge of Election in Franconia.
How Long Have You Held Public Office? If You Are A Political Newcomer, What Made
You Decide To Get Involved In Politics? I have been involved in local government since
shortly after moving to Franconia. Earlier this year some friends, who are involved in politics,
told me we did not have a candidate for State Senate and asked me to run. I decided that with so many problems facing our community, many of them economic in nature, leaving the seat uncontested was unacceptable because voters deserve an opportunity to choose better policies.
How Long Have You Lived In Pennsylvania? How Long Have You Lived In The District
You Either Represent, Or Are Seeking To Represent? I have lived in Pennsylvania my entire
life and in Franconia Township for 25 years.
What Are Some Of The Top Issues Facing Your District? Without question, the most
immediate problem facing us today is the economy. People are worried about the cost of gas and
groceries, and with winter coming, the cost of heating their homes. Public safety is another issue
I hear a lot about, with good reason. There has been a significant increase in crime in the county,
much of it spreading from Philadelphia. Education reform is a high priority too. Schools are
failing to educate children while being extremely expensive and ignoring parents’ concerns.
What In Your Background Qualifies You For The Elected Position? I have decades of
professional experience in finance and economics along with practical experience in local
government, where we fix problems, not argue about them. I’m a problem solver and will work
to find common sense solutions to the very real problems we face.
Do You Believe Adhering To Party Doctrine Or Serving Constituents Is More Important? I
want to go to Harrisburg for one reason, to fix the problems facing my constituents.
Are You Willing To Work Across The Political Aisle To Get Things Accomplished? I will
work with anyone who wants to find solutions.
Is There Anything Else You Would Like Folks To Know About You? In 1999 I attended a
Franconia Township Supervisors’ meeting out of curiosity. A month later I was appointed to the
Sewer Authority Board. Over the years I have volunteered on boards and in other ways with one
goal in mind, to keep my community a great place to live. Now I would like an opportunity to
serve the residents of Senate District 12 the same way. Please visit Rob4PASenate12.com if you
