Man Will Do Jail Time for Stealing From Blind
A charity collection jug from Sullivan's Scrap Metals in Lower Moreland was stolen last summer. The man who plead guilty received his sentence this week.
A Hatboro resident received a six to 23 month prison sentence after pleading guilty to a theft charge in Montgomery County Court.
Jesse Lee Bianchini, 36, of the first block of S. York Road, will do jail time for stealing a charity collection jug from a Lower Moreland business last summer.
Bianchini will have to perform 80 hours of community service during his parole period.

The theft charge stems from an incident that occurred on July 19 at Sullivanβs Scrap Metals in the 3900 block of Mann Road.

Β Β Β β’Β Β Β Sullivanβs Scrap MetalsEmployees of Sullivanβs Scrap Metals contacted police at 12:47 p.m. to report a five-gallon water cooler container holding $100.00 in coins and currency was missing. Upon reviewing the surveillance tape, it was discovered that Jesse L. Bianchini had taken the money, which was being used for a charitable donation to βCRB1 Curing Retinal Blindness.β
Later in the day, employees recognized Bianchiniβs car in the parking lot, and police officers arrived to take him into custody.
Bianchini admitted taking the jug and using some of the money to buy gas.Β Police recovered the jug - with the charityβs name still on it - at the gas station.
