Parents Save Big on Kids Clothes, Toys at Cozy Tots Consignment Sale

With the economy in the shape that it’s in, an event like Cozy Tots is exactly what some families need.

The annual consignment sale at the Bryn Athyn Church Elementary School, 600 Tomlinson Rd., will be open to the public this weekend and it specializes in anything and everything having to do with infants and children. It has clothing for newborns to size 12, toys, baby gear, maternity clothes and more.

"Baby gear, Strollers, Pack N' Play," Cozy Totz representative Kim Eng said of the best sellers. "Especially if you are a new mom, you want to get all of these things. By the time you go out to one store to get one stroller, you could have got your stroller, Pack N' Play, car seat, everything, already."

Parents can start their shopping all this weekend on March 8, 9 and 10. The hours for the sale are as follows:

• Fri., March 8: 5-9 p.m.
• Sat., March 9: 8 a.m.-2p.m.
• Sun., March 10: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. (50% off most items Sunday)

Making your money stretch is a primary concern for families these days and the semi-annual sale is a perfect place to save and help a good cause.

Strollers are a big seller here and there is a separate room entirely filled with them.

"Those are in the other gym. All the big stuff is in the other gym," Eng said.

Two gymnasiums are packed with everything parents need for their children. Volunteers have donated items to the consignment sale over the last couple of weeks and those volunteers get a private showing before the sale officially starts if they wish to buy items. 

Part of the proceeds go to the Bryn Athyn schools.

This will be the first sale of the year. The second sale in Bryn Athyn will be later in the summer. This sale has been around for close to a decade, and since all the volunteers are local, it is hosted in the Bryn Athyn area.
