March 10 β Narcotics Possession - Crack Cocaine
- Area of Byberry Rd. near Post Rd.
Jason Seller, 30, of Jamison, has charges pending for DUI and drug possession after officers found numerous amounts of paraphernalia and leftover baggies in his car. LMPD made the traffic stop after observing Sellers in his white Toyota Prius stop 10 car lengths behind a red light at an intersection with nobody in front of him.
An officer began to follow him and activated his car lights after Seller crossed the double-yellow line and was traveling 10 mph under the speed limit. Seller traveled for three tenths of a mile before pulling over.
Police saw fresh ashes on his right pant leg and two, tiny Ziploc-type bags with a white powdery residue (consistent with crack-cocaine) in the door handle on the driverβs side. When asked if he had been smoking crack-cocaine, Seller told police he had never smoked crack-cocaine before in his life, according to reports.
When the officer pointed out the Ziploc bags, Seller looked at him for a few moments without saying anything, and then explained that he βhas a problemβ and had smoked crack-cocaine βearlierβ in the evening.
He denied having any other medications on him, but a search of the car revealed numerous prescriptions, some causing drowsiness and dizziness and to use care and caution when operating machinery.
Police also found: several pieces (4) of aluminum foil which appear to have been fashioned into smoking devices. In one of the βpipesβ there were a few more tiny Ziploc-type bags with white residue inside. Seller also had these Ziploc-type bags in his pocket.
