Lower Moreland Are Looking For A Thief Who Broke Into A Resident's Parked Vehicle

LOWER MORELAND, PA β€” Police in Lower Moreland Township are looking for a thief who rummaged through a resident's vehicle this past weekend and stole cash.

Officers were dispatched to a home on Sheffield Lane on Feb. 6 around 10:45 p.m. for a report of a suspect who was going through a victim's vehicle, which had been parked in the owner's driveway.

Police say the resident watched as the man held a flashlight in his mouth as he went through the vehicle, which had reportedly been unlocked at the time, eventually stealing money from the center console.

The victim tried to confront the thief who then took off running toward Prudential Bank, jumped a fence, and continued on toward County Line Road into Bucks County, according to police.

The suspect has been described as a white male around 20 years of age, standing around five feet, 10 inches tall, wearing a white cap, ski mask, dark winter jacket and having curly black hair.

Police are asking homeowners in the area of Sheffield Lane if they have any surveillance video footage that can help with the identification of the suspect.
