- The biggest news of the week was Montgomery County commissioner James Matthews getting arrested on perjury charges. Matthews can face up to seven years in jail for perjury and up to two years for false swearing to the grand jury.

- In Lower Morleand, police responded to Albidale 2 for a heroin overdose. There were also numerous thefts throughout neighborhoods where Christmas decorations were stolen. A six-foot Santa was one of the items taken.
