Collegeville Gets $264K To Improve Traffic Signals
Major traffic improvements are on the way to the borough thanks to a new round of state funding.

COLLEGEVILLE, PA β Collegeville has received significant funding from the state for improved traffic signal equipment at numerous locations across the borough.
Five different intersections will receive upgrades, including:
- Main Street and 5th Avenue
- Main Street and 3rd Avenue
- 2nd Avenue and Freeland Drive
- 2nd Avenue and Park Avenue
- 2nd Avenue and Wawa Driveway
The $264,540 in funding comes from the state's "Green Light-Goβ program that aims to improve safety and mobility across Pennsylvania.

βThe safety improvements supported by the Green Light-Go program will help municipalities relieve congestion and traffic flow and keep Pennsylvanians moving safely and efficiently,β said Pennsylvania Secretary of Transportation Michael Carroll.
Exact timing for when the work will be done in Collegeville has not yet been announced.

Several other Montgomery County municipalities, including Lower Salford, Lower Gwynedd, Whitemarsh, and Towamencin will each also receive funding through the program this year.
