Collegeville Police Plan 'Increased Presence' Due To Speeding

Police said there has been a recent rise in complaints regarding dangerous speeding in the Collegeville area.

COLLEGEVILLE, PA β€” Police said there has been a recent rise in complaints regarding dangerous speeding in the Collegeville area.

This has lead to an "increased presence" of police on the roads, they said Friday.

Authorities did not specify exactly where the additional patrols would be placed, but said they had identified certain roadways where speeding was a problem.

Specfically, they noted 25 mile per hour speed zones.

"Please, be conscious of your speed while traveling on borough roadways. We have a lot of pedestrian traffic and areas where young children play," police said in a statement. "We want to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience in Collegeville Borough."
