Construction Set To Begin On Eagleville Road Bridge
Eagleville Road will be closed and motorists detoured beginning later this month.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA β Construction is set to begin this month on the bridge on Eagleville Road over Eagleville Run, PennDOT officials said.
The bridge, built in 1935, requires rehabilitation of the masonry arch barrel, walls and barrier, the arch backfill, as well as replacement of the concrete parapet.
Work will begin Monday, June 24 and continue through late August. Motorists will be detoured to Ridge Pike and Park Avenue.

Eagleville Road will be closed between Visitation Road and Michael Lane, though local access will be maintained.
The bridge carries an average of 6,252 vehicles per day, PennDOT said.

It's one of seven bridge rehabilitation projects currently underway in the greater Philadelphia area. A total of $7.2 million has been allocated to the projects.
