Eagleville Road Bridge In Lower Providence Reopens

PennDOT said the bridge carrying Eagleville Road over Eagleville Run in Lower Providence​ is open after rehabilitation work.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — The bridge carrying Eagleville Road over Eagleville Run in Lower Providence is open again.

The bridge was rehabbed as part of a $7,220,000 bridge improvement project.

PennDOT’s contractor removed and reset the masonry arch barrel, walls and barrier; excavated and replaced the arch backfill with lightweight concrete; and replaced the concrete parapets with a stone masonry facing.

Built in 1935, the Eagleville Road bridge over Eagleville Run is a single-span stone masonry arch structure, and carries an average of 6,252 vehicles a day.
