Fiery Crash That Killed 23-Year-Old Woman Remains Under Investigation
State Police are looking into what may have caused the 23-year-old Montgomery County woman to cross the center line and hit another car.
WORCESTER TOWNSHIP, PA — A fiery, two-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday evening and claimed the life of a 23-year-old Montgomery County woman is under investigation, as State Police attempt to discover why the driver veered into another vehicle coming in the opposite direction.
Patch reported on the crash Monday, which took the life of the unidentified Norristown woman.

On Tuesday morning, Patch spoke with Pennsylvania State Trooper William Butler, a spokesman for Troop K in Skippack Township, about the incident.
Butler said troopers are not yet sure why the woman swerved out of her lane of travel and crashed head-on with another driver during the incident, which took place a little after 8 p.m. on Grange Avenue in Worcester Township, just over the border with Lower Providence Township.

Butler said the cause of the crash remains under investigation, and troopers are attempting to piece together what might have caused the victim to cross the double yellow line and strike the other driver.
The other driver, who is a 51-year-old woman from Gilbertsville, Montgomery County, was air flown to Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia for treatment of severe injuries, Butler said.
Her current condition is not known at this time.
No other identifying information about the second driver was released.
