Fire Crews Put Out A Vehicle Fire In The Parking Lot Of Providence Town Center Wednesday

Firefighters put out a vehicle fire in a parking lot at the Providence Town Center near the Home Goods on Wednesday evening.

OAKS, PA — Fire crews from three different fire companies were called out to the parking lot of the Providence Town Center in Upper Providence Township Wednesday evening to douse a vehicle fire.

Emergency personnel were dispatched to the shopping center along Collegeville Road around 6:30 p.m. for a report of a vehicle that was on fire in the parking lot near the Home Goods store.

Upper Providence police were first sent to the scene, and soon after fire crews arrived to battle the blaze, according to local fire officials.

Fire crews from the Blackrock Fire Company, Collegeville Fire Company and Engine 66 of the Perkiomen Fire Company arrived on scene and put out the vehicle fire within a half-hour, according to public safety officials.

There was no word on whether anyone was in the vehicle at the time, but no injuries appeared to be reported.
