Hydrant Flushing Begins In Collegeville Area

Water pressure could be lowered, and water may be discolored over the next few days as crews work.

COLLEGEVILLE, PA — Pennsylvania American Water will begin routine flushing of its water lines in the greater Collegeville area beginning Wednesday.

Flushing will take place from July 26 through Aug. 2 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

While crews are working nearby, it's possible that water pressure will be reduced, and water may be discolored. To resolve the discolored water issue, run the cold water taps only on the lowest level of the house for three to five minutes until it runs clear.
