KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — A local man is facing federal criminal charges for allegedly beating a Washington, D.C. metro police officer with a Donald Trump flag during the Jan. 6 riots outside the U.S. Capitol, only stopping the beating once the flagpole broke.

Howard Richardson — a King of Prussia resident who was also charged by Montgomery County authorities in late October for allegedly assaulting a motorcyclist outside of his home in an unrelated matter — is being charged by federal law enforcement for his part in the violence in Washington, D.C., back on Jan. 6, 2001, according to a report on 6 ABC Action News.
