Lane Shut Down For Road Work, More Traffic On 422 At Oaks

OAKS, PA — A lane closure for road work on 422 near Oaks caused additional backups Monday afternoon.

The pavement restoration was initially scheduled for last Friday and Saturday mornings between Trooper Road and Egypt Road in Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships, according to PennDOT.

However, not all of the work was completed, and additional restoration needed to be done on Monday.

It's not yet clear how long the closure will be in place.

The restoration is part of a larger project to repair and resurface more than 50 miles of state highways around Montgomery County. Allan Meyers is the general contractor.
