Virtual Lower Providence Comprehensive Plan Meeting To Be Held On Wednesday

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — The township will host a virtual comprehensive plan steering committee meeting Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The regularly scheduled monthly meeting, which is currently being held via Zoom due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, will discuss the township's 10-year comprehensive plan, a public process that seeks community input on what area residents and business owners feel should be prioritized in the township as it looks to the future.
Professional planners from the Montgomery County Planning Commission are in the midst of working with steering committee members consisting of local officials and community members representing various interests within Lower Providence.

According to the township, a comprehensive plan is a policy document adopted by a municipality that analyzes a locality's current issues and trends, looks back at the history of the community, and provides recommendations for desired future goals and objectives within that town.
