Lower Providence To Host Free Medicine Checkups for Those 50 and Older

Lower Providence township is offering a workshop providing free medicine checkups to those 50 and older, where participants can bring their current medications to have a pharmacist screen them for issues.

Lower Providence township will treat those 50 years old and older to a free medicine “‘brown bag’” checkup on Oct. 11 at the Lower Providence Township Building, according to a Lower Providence township news release.

The free checkup is part of  Lower Providence’s Morning Coffee Topic Talk series, and it will take place at 9:30 a.m. in the Township Building’s auditorium.

Guests can bring the medications that they currently use, as well as over-the-counter products that they use, and Mainline Health Systems pharmacists can determine whether there are any issues that need to be addressed; the pharmacists can check the medicines and products for possible side effects and duplications, and they can check for discontinued or out-of-date medications.
