Methacton School Board Schedules Special Tuesday, April 9 Meeting

Methacton School District's board of directors will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, April 9, to "take action on a personnel issue and any other business brought before the Board of School Directors," according to the district's website.

At the meeting, the board will presumably appoint an interim superintendent while they mount a search for a permanent replacement for Dr. Timothy Quinn, who stepped down at the end of March. Quinn was at the center of a scandal in recent months for an alleged relationship he was having with Dr. Diane Barrie, the district’s director of curriculum. Barrie is also resigning her position effective June 13.

The board has also rescheduled its planned May meetings. The meetings wil now take place Tuesday, May 14 and Tuesday, May 21. You can download a full, updated calendar of school board meeting dates in our PDF section.
