Montco Ready for Storm, Commissioner Says
Montgomery County has 1,200 tons of salt on hand, an official said Sunday night.

A major winter storm is headed our way, but Montgomery County is ready, a county commissioner says.
Montgomery County has 1,200 tons of salt on hand, Commissioner Chairman Josh Shapiro said Sunday night. He added that the road and emergency operations are ready to work, the trucks are fueled and “dedicated staff [are] ready to work.”
“In Montgomery County, we are prepped and ready to go,” Shapiro wrote on Facebook.

Forecasters predicting a “historic” storm in the region, with the potential for 14 to 24 inches of snow over two days.
The storm warning has been issued for Montgomery County, which means “significant amounts of snow is expected and strong winds are possible.” The warning begins at noon on Monday and continues through Tuesday at 6 p.m.
