Popular, Fast-Growing Burger Chain Opening 'Texas Smokehouse' In Collegeville

One of the region's fastest growing chains is expanding in a different direction.

COLLEGEVILLE, PA β€” Cousin's Burgers, a rapidly growing local burger chain, will open its next location in Collegeville, ownership confirmed. However, it won't be a burger-focused joint. Instead, the new location will be dubbed Cousin's Smokehouse, a Texas barbecue joint.

The shop, which bills itself as the "fastest growing burger restaurant in Philly," currently has locations in Phoenixville, the Exton Mall, and Allentown, as well as Poplar Street and South Street in Philadelphia.

The Collegeville Smokehouse will be located on 3960 Germantown Pike. An exact opening date has not yet been announced, but it's expected to open soon.

"This is hands down the best BBQ we’ve ever made, and there’s nothing like it around here," owner Shahezad Contractor said. "Authentic Texas-style brisket and beef dino ribs, smoked low and slow to perfection."

Contractor debuted Cousin's at the Philly Halal Food Festival, and it has rapidly grown since. Another new location is also set for Washington Avenue in Philadelphia.
