New 'Culinary Experience', Otto's Supper Club, Coming To Eagleville
The unique supper club will offer traditional meals, but also a range of classes, charcuterie board making, and pairings with wineries.

EAGLEVILLE, PA — While Montgomery County is still reeling the loss of Kriebel's Bakery in Eagleville, a new culinary experience has risen up to fill the vacant space.
Otto's Supper Club and Social, the creation of renown Philadelphia chef Ashley Power, is slated to open up in the coming days. It's more than just a restaurant: it's a 20-seat space that will offer regular "supper club" dinners for $75, as well as a whole host of culinary themed events, including classes, charcuterie board making, floral design classes, and pairing dinners with local distilleries and wineries.
The 39-year-old Power, a Collegeville resident who has run the catering company Power Events since 2009, said the idea came to her suddenly.

“I never planned on opening a restaurant,” Power said. "I registered the name Otto’s in 2008, and thought I would do something with it in the way of a passion project, as my husband Jeff and I always talk about opening up a little restaurant or shop one day."

That all changed when stopping by what was, until very recently, Kriebel's bakery. Kriebel asked Power if she knew anyone interested in the space.
"I looked around and thought it was perfect, and my whole paradigm changed on the spot," she said. "I bought the place with my credit card, signed a lease, and we began renovations from there.”
The 700 square foot space will be transformed to serve food and experiences that honor Power's great uncle Otto, who died recently at 104. Power spent summers growing up on his farm in upstate New York, and made meals from food grown in the garden. Otto's will feature similar sustainable, farm to table ideals, along with quirky summer favorites like hot dogs and popsicles.
"We had a creek and a tree house that I designed as a kid, which was my favorite part of my childhood," Power said said. "My time on that farm really molded who I am and the culinary professional that I’ve become."
It won't be the first restaurant the family has going in Montgomery County. Power's husband, Jeffrey Power, is the executive chef at Deterra Restaurant and Wine Bar in Ambler.
Regular supper club dinners at Otto's will be $75 per person, and classes will range from $55 and up. Details on tickets will be announced as the opening date approaches.
