PECO Hits Rogers Road

This PECO truck along Rogers Road was a sight for sore eyes. Many on the road have been without power since Hurricane Sandy struck on Monday night.

Much of the area lost power around midnight on Monday, and by Tuesday morning the area was still in the dark. Those along the road, which is nestled just off of Trooper, connecting to Woodland Avenue, have been without heat and lights since.

One string of the road's homes had power back on as early as Tuesday afternoon, believed to be on a line that runs toward Trooper Road and West Norriton Township.

PECO estimated power to return to this rest of the street as late as Monday, 11 p.m., but trucks along the road as of 7:30 p.m. Saturday night were a welcome surprise.

While power has not yet been restored to the full road, those coming home to dark houses, including a brand new baby born on Halloween night, will be happy if they can work ahead of schedule.
