Police: $800 Tulip-Topped Fountain Vandalized in Eagleville
Police report that the missing piece of a concrete fountain was found at the bottom of neighbor's pool.

According to Lower Providence Police (LPP), a 65-year-old resident of the 2600 block of Loyd Lane in Eagleville reported the top of her concrete fountain missing on July 23.
Police were dispatched at 7:45 a.m. to the resident’s home, who told LPP that unknown actors between 9 p.m., July 22, and 7:10 a.m. the following day, had come onto her property.
The resident stated that the unknown actors removed the top of the concrete fountain, which was located at the rear of the house. The top of the fountain was described to look like a tulip, and was approximately one-foot in height.

The resident further told police, by removing the top, the fountain had been destroyed, which has a reported value of $800.
The resident added that she could not identify who might have stolen the top piece, but has had a problem with juveniles in the area cutting through her yard.

According to the police report, at 5 p.m. on July 23 the resident contacted neighbors using social media, and also searched the neighborhood herself for the missing fountain piece.
Her neighbor, who reported that the piece lay at the bottom of his swimming pool, subsequently contacted the resident, and the piece was recovered. The resident stated she will contact police on whether or not repairs can be made, and how much those repairs may cost.
No suspects have been apprehended at the time of the report.
