Ridge Pike Lane Closure To Increase Traffic For Months
Officials warned drivers to prepare for delays as work on a $26.2 million project on Ridge Pike continues.
LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA β A lane of ridge pike will be shut down for months on Ridge Pike in Lower Providence, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced.
The closure is due to utility construction, which is part of a larger $26.2 million project to improve travel and safety around the Ridge Pike and Germantown Pike intersection.
It will be in place from Monday, Sept. 29 through Wednesday, Dec. 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., every Monday through Saturday.

The closure will impact Ridge Pike from Germantown Pike to Crosskeys Road.
The larger project involves relocating the Ridge and Germantown intersection about 1,300 feet to the east of the existing intersection. A connector road between Ridge and Germantown will be installed, and another connector road will run to Pechins Mill Road.
