Sen. Muth Sponsoring Veterans' Expo At Greater Philadelphia Expo Center In Late October

OAKS, PA — A veterans' expo has been scheduled for later October, the event a chance for local military vets to meet one another and learn about various veterans' services and benefits.

The event, which is scheduled for Oct. 30 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, is being sponsored by the office of State Sen. Katie Muth, D-44.

Muth's office says the event will be an opportunity for veterans of all ages, who reside within the 44th Senatorial District, to interact with more than 20 local and statewide veterans' organizations and service providers to ensure they're accessing all the services and benefits available to them.

"Pennsylvania has the fourth largest veteran population in the entire country — and we need to continue to make sure the appropriate resources and supports are available and accessible to our veterans," Muth said in a statement. "Our Veterans Expo is a way to centralize all of the different programs and services to ensure our veterans are aware and able to apply for the benefits and services they are entitled to receive."

The event, which will take place Oct. 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Hall E of the expo center, is free and open to all veterans who reside in the 44th Senatorial District. Lunch will be provided to attendees.

Vendors who have confirmed attendance so far are the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center; the Coatesville VA Medical Center; the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office; the PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs; the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; the Pennsylvania American Legion; and many others.
