Sky Zone Opens in Oaks

Sky Zone, an indoor trampoline park, opened Friday in Oaks.

With 19,000 sq. ft. of trampolines, one of the largest in the country, Sky Zone in Oaks, which opened on Friday, March 22, offers something for kids of all ages.

Within the facility, located at 122 Mill Rd, next to the Philadelphia Rock Gym, there's a large court for open jump, a fan pit, the Sky Slam, four dodgeball courts, and space for a kids court for the smaller jumpers.

Jumpers are separated by height, so children under 40 inches stay in the kids court. In the large court, jumpers are also separated by height.

Events Manager, Pat Dobslaw, told Patch that the facility is certified by the State of Pennsylvania for safety, with court monitors - the trampoline lifeguards - at each court and three at the large court.

Besides open jump times, Sky Zone also offers programs and classes. Skyrobics, a fitness class that meets for an hour every day, is guaranteed to burn 1,000 calories and is taught by certified fitness instructors.

They also offer dodgeball tournaments for all ages, toddler time on Tuesdays and Thursdays and more. The first dodgeball tournament begins on April 22 at 7 p.m. and individuals and teams can register on their website.

And they will host parties. There are three party rooms and the Sky Box for larger groups.

General Manager, Steve Egan, told Patch that anyone who can walk can jump, and as soon as children are able to walk, they can jump. There is no height or age requirements.

The Oaks location is the first in the area, with other Sky Zones opening in the near future in Cherry Hill and Baltimore.

Dobslaw said the location was formerly a tire factory, and the complex has become a great family friendly area. Egan continued that SkyZone is "geared towards family, fun and fitness. The four 'F's.'"

SkyZone is open Tuesday through Thursday 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday noon until 9 p.m., Saturday 10 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
