Snapshot: Camp Perkiomy Celebrates Olympics

Lower Providence Township's Camp Perkiomy held an 'Olympic Day' on July 26.

Wearing tie-dyed T-shirts and carrying “torches” and flags all made especially for the occasion, some 200 campers from Lower Providence Township’s Camp Perkiomy gathered for their own Olympic opening ceremonies on July 26 at the Township Building.

Following the ceremonies, the campers took part in a variety of Olympic games in Eagleville Park.

According the Parks and Recreation page of the Lower Providence Township website, Camp Perkiomy offers children ages 6-13 a supervised summer camp recreational program. The camp includes arts and crafts, games, field trips and special events, such as the Olympic Day.
