Teen E-Bike Rider Struck By Vehicle In Oaks
The incident occurred in the early morning hours, police said.

OAKS, PA β A teen riding on an e-bike in the early morning hours was struck by a vehicle in Oaks over the weekend, police said.
The incident occurred at around 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20 near Center Ice, on 100 Penco Road.
The exact circumstances of the crash are not clear, but police said that the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.

The teen was initially treated on the scene by first responders before being taken to a nearby trauma center for further treatment.
The Upper Providence Township Collision Reconstruction Unit is working on the investigation.

The crash comes as e-bikes and e-bike safety have come under increased scrutiny in Montgomery County, with increased fines and restrictions on types of e-bikes allowed following a series of incidents earlier in the year.
