This Was Lower Providence: Trooper School House
A weekly series where we check out vintage photos of the borough.

Thanks to the incredible archive of photos put together by John at Old Images of Montgomery County, it's easier than ever to take a visual trip back in time.
This week we're going to take an undated look at the former Trooper School House on Ridge Pike, which burned down in the early 1970's. So far, we've only identified the boy at the bottom center as Harry Collins Aldstadt, so if you know the names of the others, let us know in the comments.
Enjoy the photo, and feel free to comment with your memories and experiences. If you have old photos of Lower Providence that you would like to see featured on Patch, you can email them – along with background information –to keith.heffintrayer@patch.com.
Special thanks to John at Old Images of Montgomery County for allowing us to use the photos. You can "like" them on Facebook by clicking here.
