Tree Work To Cause Delays In Lower Providence
Lane restrictions are in place through the end of the week.
LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — Tree removal work will continue on a main thoroughfare in Lower Providence Township through the end of the week, leading to a lane closure and delays in the area.
The work will take place on Park Avenue between Orchard Lane and Jode Road. That stretch will be reduced to a single lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, Sept. 29.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation calls the work a "safety improvement project." Wooded areas with loose or dead trees often have vulnerabilities exposed during wind and rain storms, when they're blown down and damage nearby electrical wires.
