Trooper Crushes Valley Forge in Perky League Game

The Trooper Tribe had not won one game in almost three weeks when they faced down the Valley Forge Bucks in Lower Providence in their Perky League game on Tuesday, according to The Times Herald.

After Trooper had lost to the Norristown Diamonds on Monday, Trooper’s Slater McCue had the ball on Tuesday and his strong pitching, as well as Trooper’s 18-run performance, made the day.  After seven innings, Valley Forge, who were in last place, scored three to Trooper’s 18.

“The last couple weeks, we’ve really been struggling,” said Trooper player-manager Brian Hartsell. “Today, we stayed in the zone. I think that’s the biggest thing.”
