Authorities Identify Woman Found Dead In Schuylkill River On July 4th
Samantha Henry, 28, of Phoenixville, Chester County, was identified as the person who drowned in the Schuylkill River on July 4th.
MONTE CLARE, PA β Authorities have identified the deceased woman whose body was pulled from the Schuylkill River in Upper Providence Township during the July 4th holiday.
The victim was 28-year-old Samantha Henry of Phoenixville, Chester County, which sits just across the river from the Mont Clare section of Upper Providence, Montgomery County, which is where dive teams recovered the body.
Patch got independent confirmation of the victim's identity from Alexander Balacki, the first deputy coroner at the Montgomery County Coroner's Office.

Balacki said an autopsy determined the manner of death to be accidental drowning, and that suicide was ruled out as a potential cause.
Emergency responders received a call about someone who had gone into the river a little after 12:30 Monday afternoon. By 3 p.m., rescuers had located Henry's body in the river, Patch previously reported.

While medical examiners determined the cause of death to be accidental drowning, Upper Providence Police are continuing to investigate the incident and they ask anyone with information about what might have happened on Monday to call investigators at 610-933-7899.
