Woodland Elementary Hosts First Fall Carnival
From scarecrows, to pumpkins, there was much for those of all ages to participate in to celebrate the new season.
Students at Woodland Elementary School, in the Methacton School District, along with their friends and family were invited on Friday night to partake in the inaugural Fall Carnival held on the school's grounds.
Starting at 6:30 p.m., families mobbed the all-purpose room, playground and surrounding outdoor area in order to celebrate the autumn season. The students were able to paint their own pumpkins, decorate their own candy apples and even make their own scarecrows. There was also a cake walk, during which students could spend $1 per chance to stand on a winning number. A digit was chosen at random, and the single winner per round was permitted to select their own donated dessert to take home.
Funds raised from the night's event went toward Wooldand Elementary School's Home and School Association.
