High-Friction Resurfacing Begins In Lower Southampton Twp.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — High-friction resurfacing operations begin Monday with lane closures expected for drivers on Bridgetown Pike, PennDOT said.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that high-friction resurfacing operations will take place Monday through Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with alternating lane closures with flagging.
- Bridgetown Pike between Route 213 (Maple Avenue) and Bridgestone Drive in Lower Southampton Township.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
The work is part of a $4.9 million project to install High-Friction Surface Treatment (HFST) on several state highways across Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, to provide increased friction and grip on pavements in wet and dry conditions.
