Lower Southampton Girl Injured In Pedestrian Accident: Police

Police said the 11-year-old girl was taken to St. Mary Medical Center after being struck by a car as she was crossing Brownsville Road.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — An 11-year-old girl was seriously injured after being struck by a car while she was crossing the road.

Police say that the girl, who has not been identified, was struck by a car as she crossed Brownsville Road around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred near Reid Avenue.

Lower Southampton Chief Ted Krimmel told the Bucks County Courier Times that it appears the girl crossed the road at the crest of a hill near Arbor Lane Apartments.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

The young girl was taken to St. Mary Medical Center before being air-lifted to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
